    Hand 1

This is a bad table, all of the players are standard tightish ok players. No paticular reads on any of them as Im at another computer and they play like robots. The cutoff makes it $12. The button calls. I call as well with XXX because Im bored. The flop is 884 with two diamonds. Checked to the button who bets quite $16. The sb thinks and makes it $32 more. I think its very unlikely he has an 8 (always a chance though), 44 is a possibility but Im pretty sure he has a mid overpair. I go all in.

    Hand 2

This is a good table, everyone is a moron. Total idiot (with over 1200, I cover him) makes it 20 utg. 2 Callers. I make it 100 with XXX. Utg calls. The cutoff (who is tight by this tables standard). We have no history together calls (1k). The flop is 8T2r. Idiot leads for about 100. Cutoff calls. I call. Turn is an ace. Idiot checks. Cutoff bets about 140. I call. Idiot folds and cutoff calls. River is a blank, he bets 140 - I go all in. He would have to call more than 500. I have no idea what he has but I dont think its great. 140 is probably a blocking bet more than a bet for value.

One or both of these is a bluff. Which one! And is it a good one.

The first one is a bluff as I think that you would play the 8 a bit slower. It's not a bad bluff but a bit risky. Also you might even get called by a mid - overpair.

I think you flopped a set in the second one, most likely tens, maybe eights.

EDIT. Just re read the first one. Your original post didn't make it clear of your position. I don't think you're bluffing here with the cut off, the button and the sb still in. So I don't think this is a bluff. You have K8 suited or something crap like that. You're kicker is obviously pretty good judging by the all in. You want a call from 78/89.

So the second one must be a bluff. I don't have a clue what you have but it's a bluff. It's a good one if he folds, which I think he might. If you hadn't said that one of them was a bluff, I would have thought you were slowplaying a monster, as I said above.

A good one if he folds, thats what my pounding heart tells me anyway
    afterwards!

In the first hand Im on the BB. I will call with a wide(ish) range of hands.

Lastly Kxs is a great hand. QQ raises few callers I call. Flop a flush draw on Q hi board. Everyone checks. Turn gives me flush, I bet and get called. River blank Im all in for 4 times the pot. QQ calls. My kids can eat tonight!

Some fecker just did something similar to my top set with J3 suited! He had an open ender with his 3 too, what a monster  .

Simply based on type of opposition.

Hand 1 is a bluff. Tight ABC players you dont want a caller.

Hand 2 you have flopped set & hope someone catches up. Some fool will call all in with Ax.

They were both bluffs. Hand 1 I had A6 of diamonds - everyone folded. Hand 2 I had JQ of diamonds, I got called by a set.

I was completely wrong then. First one worked but is fairly risky don't you think?

Well I think (and I hope Im not being results orientated) that the 1st hand was a good bluff, it was a perfect spot for a bluff. There was a obvious hand I could represent and I played it exactly how people would expect me to play a lone 8. Also even called I was going to have at least 30% equity in the pot unless I get really unlucky.

Hand 2 is bad. The pot is now huge and I dont think I quite have enough to push him off much. Also what hand am I representing? It kind of looks like a set but you will go quickly broke representing sets against morons. Also I should of thought that there was a good chance this guy had a real hand. The lead on the ace turn is quite often a set hoping ill raise.

Well its certainly risky, but I get paid off much more than any other winning players (by the people who are paying attention) because of hands like these.

Yeah it wasn't a great bet. You should see some of the stuff I've been trying to pull off on tribeca tonight though, I'm soooooooo on tilt it's not funny. Don't think I've ever been this tilty in my life. Just had a guy call my re raise for half his stack and mine( we were both very deep stacked). There was another player all in. I had 99, flop came KQx, two diamonds. He bets out, so I have to fold. He has 34 diamonds!!!!!!!!!
