Woots wrong here?

I have ATI cards in a few Pc's here, they all have the latest ATI drivers. Whenever i restart the pc's i get this error:

Now i no its this ATI Catalst Control Centre, but why will it not open on any of the pc's and what is it?

DO you have the .NET framework installed and up to date on these machines?

, what exactly is .net? I havent updated any .net files.

Download this, and this, and run Windows Update.

I had same prob when I tried to update to 5.12 drivers. I had .net framework installed and all updates. Reverted back to 5.11 and all working again. Haven't tried updating to 6.1 in case the problem reoccurs.

Currently running 6.1 with no problems, .NET 1 and 2 installed.

Why haven't they made a Standard version of the the 6.1 drivers yet? With the normal CP instead of the CCC (which is way too bloated for my liking)?

I don't have .NET installed with my 5.12 Standard CP drivers and they work fine!

The drivers don't need .NET, only the CCC. If .NET isn't installed, and the CCC is set to start up on log in, then you'll get an error.

Does Omega do drivers withouth the CCC or what's the deal with those sort of third-party drivers?
Screw .NET, if it's not 100% necessary, throw it out!
