    Saw this on ebay for 87 euro ex postage on ebay. Is it all I need for free tv forever?

    Do I need to buy a card? How often will I need to do that?

    very good value.
    yes free tv forever.
    perhaps it might even include a UK viewing card.
    buying a card will give you three extra channels
    Channel4, FIVE and SKY3.
    card should last until 2009 but nobody knows exactly.

    The box or dish might last 5 years. It's for a limited definition of forever. Varnish or matt car spray front of dish after hammerite painting back and it last 3 times longer..

    mind you that reminds me the ould dish is 4 yrs old now, and rust is getting in, must try what you said watty, or may get a new one altogether

    A solid dish will last a -lot- longer than that, particularly if sheltered, but of course Sky managed to find people to make dishes of the most rust-prone mesh known to man...

    Even a very rusty one can be electric wire brushed and repainted.

    Good value yes, but a 43 cm dish is too small for reliable reception in Ireland.
