Transferring 3V Funds To PayPal?

I remember reading some time back that a couple of boards users transferred their 3V credit to a PayPal account. I've about 30quid left on a 3V voucher which expires next Monday and want to transfer it to my PayPal account, but can't for the life of me figure how to do this.

When I click on the 'Add Funds' tab in PayPal, I am told that
PayPal does not currently offer the ability to add funds from your bank account. You may, however, use other funding sources to make a PayPal payment, including credit cards and your PayPal account balance.

but there does not appear to be any option to transfer from a CC anywhere...

Can someone help me out on this?

    Cheers,
    jAH

PS I registered for the 'expanded account' also (€1.50 charge)

AFAIK you either have to register for paypal plus and then transfer the funds
But you need a credit card to do that.
You could try to register the 3V number as a card on paypal and just pay for stuff up to €30 with that.
But I doubt it will accept the 3V card.

You register the 3v card on paypal, make the small payment login into 3v and get the number thats on the billing list.
Go back to paypal and lodge whatevers left on the 3v card using the code you got from the billing.

pain in the arse but it does work then you have to change the card no everytime you get a new 3v.

If you make a 2nd account you can put the money on to your 1st account! that show my bro did it!

Thanks for the tips, I had thought it would be more straightforward. Will try registering a 2nd PayPal account and transferring funds back to first..

    sorry for bumping this but...

Ive registered the card with Paypal, enrolled and all that. Its saying my balance is 0. How do I transfer money from the 3V Voucher to Paypal?

You dont transfer money into your paypal account, paypal will just take whatever amount your spending from your credit card account when you've added your credit card. So balance will be 0 even if you have millions in your credit card a/c.

Use the 2 accounts idea. That should defenitly work

I tried transferring funds from 3v to paypal using a second paypal a/c but was charged 5.4%. Any way of avoiding this-as I need to do it for a large amount?

Paypal charge a % of the amount when it's funded from a credit card. There's nothing you can do about that.

Thanks for your help. I'll just have to do it anyway.

So I tried doing this. I added the 3v card to my paypal account and verified it with the code but the money on my 3V voucher hasn't been added to my paypal balance. I need to send payment to someones Paypal but I can't get the funds from my 3V to paypal but don't understand this 'second account' option people were talking about above. What can I do?

Boggermad - it's an old thread.

But anyway, paypal take a few days to refund the 1.50 so don't worry about that.

Secondly,I think you are trying to send money to somebody else ? Let's say you have €0 in your paypal balance, and €10 on your 3V card, just send a payment for €10 and it will be taken straight from 3V.whoever is getting the cash won't receive the full €10,as there's some charges.

You can't transfer the money into your Paypal account, it doesn't work that way. Look at the sticky at the top of the forum.
