    Hey Lads,

It's that time of the year for me!!

And I'm looking to find an other option to AMA who are a bit steep!!

Have any of you found cheaper of better insurance cover for your clubs??

Or even those of you that might conduct seminars in other clubs! Have you found cover for person to person injuries for people training with you at a seminar??

    Hi Paul

I rang a few insurance brokers and companies themselves last year from the Golden Pages. Very few did offer MA insurance. The one I found that did, was dearer than AMA. cannot rememerb the name of the company, they were supposed to send me a form but never did.

I found AMA cover levels, very good in relation to the cost.

But they do seem to be loading the price over here compaired to the UK!!

MY buddy in the UK has a special discount with them on insurance and they would not relate that price or move on the Irish price even for him!!

    :D

Ya! I'll prob be taking this one up!!

The cover is really good and will suit the club and me fine!!

I think that there is even some cover extra to the AMA cover?? As in people training at other locations? and special events!!

I've always found AMA to be a bit vauge on that, though when we hold special comps, seminars etc making sure that you have a back up insurance cover should be a must!!

I looked into insurance when ours was up for renewal... been with AMA for a number of years... and ABC was the only other company I found.

I also looked into getting cover abroad...in the US, some instructors I know can get insurance for teaching and training anywhere for $100 per annum... but they won't cover Ireland. We have an instructor in the UK and her AMA insurance quote is much less than ours.

ABC cover sounds really good, but didn't suit us as they cover by location and would cost us a fortune each year.

Has anyone ever had any problems claiming from AMA for an accident?? I'm interested as I find them vague too.....
