Basically we want something not too pricey with plenty to do , open to any suggestions :)

I'd second that - its the nicest city in Europe. Also recommend Hvar Island off Croatia.

LAst night's reply was a little short :p so here's a bit more.

If you are going for 3-4 days Dubrovnik is super. It's got a small old town which takes about a day to go around - taking it easy. There's loads of islands nearby which you can take daytrips to (Korcula, Miljet etc). I've not been to any of these but Korcula looks stunning from the water and looks like a mini Dubrovnik.

Split is also nice and Hvar can be reached from there. Split's old town is also quite nice. Hvar is a beautiful island but if you want things to do for most of the trip - other than lounge about - i'd suggest a daytrip there would be enough.

Dubrovnik itself is very relaxed and more for a couples holiday than a party holiday but it still can be quite fun in the evenings. A lot of the atmosphere in the eveneings is from people sitting outside cafes or restaurants, it's very relaxed.

Getting there is easy as Aer LIngus fly direct in summer. Accomodation can be picked up off the street when there and if you're there in a couple it's perfect as most rooms are set-up for couples. These are just locals on the street with signs saying the have a room or a mini apartment or whatever. It looks dodgy as hell but it's not, seriously. Make sure it's within a 20min walk of the old town though. If you're thinking hotel then there's loads too but they're a lot more expensive than the private rooms.

Stay away from big cities and go island hopping in Greece for a real holiday.

The budgets about 1200 euro for the two of us to get there an stay 3 or 4 night `s , low enough budget but we managed paris on it last year , Ideally We`d love somewhere like paris , ya know that ya have the touristy lounge around stuff and then the activity stuff like disney land .

We have no idea where to pick though because theres so many chocies.
Thanks for all the suggestions so far lad , Ill give a proper look into those places after work :)

Dubrovnik is good but gets boring Hvar island is unreal. Very Irish over there atm :D

Malta is lovely tbh and you could probably get the boat to Sicily and Italy, or vice versa.

If the 1200 euro is not including spending money I would think about New York. Its a great city for couples.

oh my gosh, you have all of Europe at your fingertips! Look at a map and then pick any capital city and you'll have more than enough in any one of them to amuse you both for a few days.

If you book now you will get flights to New York for just under 500,and there are loads of places to stay in New York. The exchange rate is also good. But you will have to book soon as these will go up.
