I was there in March last year and it was HOT!

Not hot for the locals, but we were in shorts and t-shirts. It was around 28-32 degrees C then.

don't go in august. it was 35 degrees at 4 in the morning!!

At the moment most of the US is unseasonably warm including Las Vegas though with cool nights because of its inland location.

There are indications that this will change which could make Vegas considerably colder in the coming weeks.
That said , you wont get the extreme heat in February,it should feel at its coldest no worse than a cold day in Ireland unless the indications for a plunge of colder airfrom Canada bears fruit which could potentially make even Vegas very cold.

I'd say you'd be safe enough though.
