Fintan - a suggestion for you.

Playing in Galway the other night it occured to me that in the double freezeout it would be really useful to know... especially when moving tables - who has had a rebuy and who hasn't. A simple way to do this might be to have a chip of no value [like the scalp chip at the Fitz] that every player is given at the start. Then they surrender the chip when they do a rebuy or top up. Then a player can tell at a glance who has already rebought and who hasn't.

That would work I think. A chip which has no value but every1 receives 1 when they register. They need to hand it up for the re-buy or top-up. Also every player is obliged to clearly display such a chip with their stack.
    I like it.

What time does the red cow kick off Fintan? I'm sick of the fitz monday game so might give it a shot. Do you still have that trophy by the way? In the post knock out pissup and hangover the next day in citywest I completely forgot to pick it up.

Any reports on this game from last night? No of runners, prize pool, standard of play, etc.

Did they give out tickets again....

I played it Ollie, there were 92 runners with a total prize pool of €8100. Top three got tickets to the €500 game in March, and the rest was paid out in cash which is reasonable enough. It was a great tournament, ended up coming second after making a stupid move heads up but still got €1500 which is better than a kick in the teeth!

Well there was about 650k in play, and going in to heads up he had 450k, and I had 200k after he'd knocked out 3rd and 4th place. With blinds at 10k 20k he'd taken down the first two heads up pots with post flop 60k bets, and on the third hand I flopped 3rd pair with 86 off on an A 9 8 board, and decided this was the time to make my stand with only 160k left. I checked to him, he bet 60k again and I stuck it all in. After about 5 mins he called with 79. Great call on his part, I probably should have been a little more patient.
