What do you mean by "itunes format"? iTunes supports a number of different formats including mp3. What is the file extension? If the files were created in iTunes from CD's, chances are they're M4A files... if so, have you searched the Internet for a program to convert them?

something like this perhaps ... or this ...?

    Google is your friend :)

you will need to put the disc into your computer and either save them to 'my music' folder or have them in itunes , either way you just right click and then hit convert to
if you are tryin to play them in media player all you will have to do is right click then open with > and pick media player!

(dont understand y u dont want to use itunes though, its brill!)

What I've picked up from his post is that he want's to convert them from M4A to MP3 so he can use them on a Creative player.

there is an option within itunes to do this. Load them into itunes and convert them and then get rid of itunes.

Import the tracks on the cd into itunes by adding them to the library.

Change the import method in itunes to mp3 then in itunes hightlight the tracks you wish to convert and under the advanced tag you will see the option to convert to mp3!
