Pixar now have more money to make movies?
Do you really think a multi-billion dollar company like Disney would be stupid enough to interfere with Pixar's work.
Well I suppose, its not like Disney have made some of the greatest classics of all time :/

Eisner fooked up Disney. He'll do it with Pixar (if he's still there). A sham of a businessman.

So now Disntey gets the profits that Pixar would ahev gotten....it's still gonna be the same employess maiking the same movies.

    *Chokes* A Shark's Tale? Madagascar?

Ugh! They are, on balance, the worst CG-based studio of the three! The third (or, rather, second) being Fox (Ice Age, Robots).

Eh What about the incredibles? Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc?

They were all good movies, FINDING NEMO!!! was also great, no good movies since toy story? :p

A Shark's Tale and Madagascar were made by Dreamworks, not Disney/Pixar. (and they were crud)

There have been great movies by Disney/Pixar since Toy Story, as BrenC said above. :)

Cars does look like it could be a bit naff though.

But Pixar hasn't let me down yet... actually I think Toy Story 2 was their weakest effort.

"A Bug's Life" was a big steaming turd though!

But in my opinion.. the only Pixar film i truly love is the original (and truly timeless) 'Toy Story'

Really liked 'The Incredibles' also but everything else by them i just found too childish. 'Finding Nemo' got much funnier on repeated viewings though!

I've read the history of Pixar.

    1. They were always Disney's bitch anyway.
    2. The company has always been a bit of a joke. The previous (to Disney) owner, Steve Jobs, never gave a **** about the place.

    Nothing will change...

Good point... I'd actually forgotten about that one. It was probably their most Disney style film. It was still much better than Antz though.

TBH, its being going down hill since Jobs took over it.

He's owned it since the start though... :)

I've thought all their films were ****. Just because you're using graphics doesn't mean you should get away with a crap story with crap laughs... (IMO)

Bravo. The guy I was quoting said he preferred Dreamworks, hence I was quoting Dreamworks films. Try to keep up, won't you?

He bought it from Lucas Arts. It was good then. When he got it, it started to go downhill.

Huh. I thought Pixar were happy to get out of their [previous] contract with Disney. Didn't expect this to be honest, not that I follow what's going on with these companys.

Disney's a croc of **** these days anyway. Pixar's output has been consistently good at least (and great in some cases.. very much liked Toy Story and Monsters INC.) and a bit of a breath of fresh air when compared to the 'traditional' animated features Disney have been churning out in the past ten+ years.

I'd say they're very happy with their aquisition and I doubt too much will change too soon (ie. Pixar will continue to slide slowly downward, Disney itself will continue to wait for it at the bottom).

(and am I the only person who liked Antz? Far better than A Bugs Life imho).

...he bought it in 1986. 9 years before Toy Story or anything of note...
