Breathless! Typical Munster need a 4th try and get it at the death! They are the Liverpool of rugby.

    Quality game!
Highlights will probably be played on sky sports at some stage or even just watch against the head on monday evening.

Fair play Munster-that was fantastic. I really hope they can get a 'home' quarter final (Semple Stadium????????????????), George Hook was great!

    Superb game!

The funny thing about it is, Sale on paper should have won that game.
But I never doubted that Munster would yet again pull of a miracle win!

There is some strange mojo around thomond park. :)

Personally, while Murphy was a fantastic player, he'dve been in competition for me with flannery or payne - i mean flannery was playing both forward and back - it was fantastic.

Thomond Park should win player of the year!

And they want to knock the place:mad:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

It would be a hard thing to do, its the spiritual home of Munster rugby but imagine a 26,000 or 45,000 "Thomond Park roar" instead of 13,000. Teams would forfeit instead of travelling! It always was the fans that make Thomond Park special.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,058 ✭✭✭JJ

Indeed, it would still be the same atmosphere or twice the atmosphere with a bigger stadium.

If Leinster win tomorrow and/or Munster get home field advantage I like Hook's idea that Munster should be able to play in Croke Park for the quarter final match.

I was at the last Celtic League game there last year. It was superb there that day. I will eventually get to a HC game and I want it to be there. A 35,000 seat stadium would not guarantee me a seat, I would say.
I'm sick of shouting myself hoarse at the telly;)

    Go on Munster!!!!!!

And yes, could you imagine Munster in Croker. My grandfather would rise from his grave to come and see it.:D

IMO there's no option but a redeveloped Thomond Park.

What were the crowd chanting at him when he missed? He just stood there with a kinda bemused grin on his face after he missed while the crowd took the proverbial.
