How do people see this one going? I think that Randy took Chuck by surprise with his standup in the first fight but if he tries to trade with Chuck for even 10 seconds hes finished. If he ties him up and takes him down I see an easy win for Randy. I can't wait

Standing with chuck would be a mistake, remember what happened to Vitor? Plus you gotta look at age as well, and recent doubts have been circulating about Randy's fitness levels.

Personnally i can see Randy standing with Chuck for the early part of round one. He'd be an idiot to go straight in for the bullrush takedown as he'll walk into something and it will be hard.

But yeah, Chuck will want to keep it standing and Randy will want to take it down. If Randy is clever he will try and keep Chuck away from the fence if he gets him down, Chuck is a bastard for getting back up against the face, and he'll pound on you while he's doing it. ( once again remember Vitor? )

Personnally i think Chuck might suprise everyone with some much improved ground work and may even be willing to take the fight down himself.

After all, if you opponent is gonna try and take you down, you might as well go down in his guard than him in yours. Or worse.

Just for the craic i will through out a e20 bet to the first person that wants it. I reckon Chuck will win the fight, anyone up for it

ps you have to be a boards regular, so i know i get paid, when chuck spanks him.... again:p

Not sure if anyone will take it dude, as few people seem to rate Randy in it, which is a shame because he will be dangerous till the day he dies, but i just can't bring myself to go against Chuck.

    I think it's the hair. :D

It doesn't really matter what chucks ground game is like, Randy has one of the best G'N'P in the game. I always thought Randy was in excellent shape, I think that 5 minute wrestling war with MVA would have taken its toll on anyone. They really went at it. I think there is a higher chance of Chuck winning though I wouldn't place a bet on it coz Randy Couture is my hero. I suppose we'll all know soon enough!

I'm all about the Couture for this one... he seems to be a really nice lad. As it so often comes down to, I saw him first and then heard him speak well before I saw Chuck. That's often your deal-breaker ;)

Your On !! Randy is the man , I will admit chuck will always have a punchers chance, but for me Randy is just a superior fighter.

Amen to that. Lets leave the 'Ha ha I told you so' till after the fight. If Randy Couture wins it will be the best day of my life. That is how seriously I am taking this fight. I think the guys supporting Chuck are 100% right in their estimations but how can you not get behind and support the exciting, electric underdog Randy Couture.

    WAR COUTURE!

To be honest , i lost just a little bit of my mountain of respect for Randy when he started to endorse THE STRAP , by Fizogen.

Sure, i have no issues with supplements whatsoever, but don't try and tell me that a braclet backed by quantam physics will make me stronger. :D

can't wait. Come on Randy (I think he'll be beaten but I'm shouting for him anyway) if Randy says the Strap works I'm buying one.

Remember, no spoilers to be posted before the show is aired by Bravo on Sunday night.

Id be shocked if randy lasted past the first round. As has been said he got lucky first time cause chuck wasnt expecting him to stand up.

Guys, as I said earlier in the thread, I recently saw the bravo build up show. And just reflecting on the two fights, I honestly can't say what way this will go. Anybody that can't accept these guys are reasonably well matched is a bit crazy, and due to the nature of the sport, once the two guys are in the same league, it's impossible to predict.

Would have liked a longer fight myself , the crowd in Redz were really up for Randy, so I had a good feeling, then one little slip by the natural and its all over !
