National Monuments holiday in Ireland

I've a friend who was at a wedding in a Light House somewhere in Cork. He told me that becasue its a "National Monument"? its non-profit and the money is just used for maintence/running costs etc. Anyone can book it and there is a list of other places available as well around the country. Does anyone know of where I can…

there is a list of lots of old castles and lighthouses for renting.
not cheap tho!
