Go to quick links and select My Profile. Then go to Find all Posts by anthony112. Your very first post was a question regarding CPT. I think there is about 10 pages in that thread with 99% of posters slating CPT as a rip-off. Did you forget that post?

There's a pub tournament on Sunday's in Sligo, in which you get a 40000 starting stack with blinds starting at 50/100 and twenty minute levels. Its pretty good as pub comps go. Bad players, nice structure.

Dave get the needles ready, heat them up and get ready to stick them in my eyes.

    FFS.

Heard guys in Galway talking about the CPT in Athlone apparently 349 mugs turned up.

That pub just before the new bridge Donegal Road, used to be called JD's ?. I think it is on a Tuesday evening, supposed to be quite good.

There's another in The Village Pub on a Sunday 6.30, not so good i heard.

Best pub tourney down that neck of the woods is Kiltimagh Electric Mouse

Yeah the one in the Village Inn in Cartron is the better of the two. Starts at eight on a Sunday evening, think its €40+5 freezeout. Nice little tournament. Definitely better than that crowd of jokers CPT.

You're in sligo and don't know cartron? Go over the hughes bridge from town and it's left down there, towards rosses point.

*holds head in hands and weeps*

Friend sents me text today telling about CPT in Mullingar. Ive told him all about it but he's been once and tells me all about the fish. He got 8th in it. €6k got first and he got 125 for 7 hours of poker. I feel like crying.

Fish v Value. Let them have it all to their little swimmy selves me thinks.

Its An Poitin Still, used to be called TD's decent tournie on a tueday, although I never get to it, been in Dublin, heard good things about the village, although this person is easily pleased, never been down myself, hear there is another tournie out is Strandhill in the Strand, no details i'm afraid.

Going to Sligo this evening, definitely not stopping in for a game in the Southern... cowboys ted cowboys...

Ill be in sligo on 29th sunday. Might call in to this.

Any idea how many people usually turn up.

Normally around 40 or so, standard is very average but its an enjoyable game with a fair bit of play unlike most tournaments. If anyone wants further details pm me and I can give you the contact number for the TD.

A mate of mine came second in this and won 5K but he said when it came Heads up he had 300,000 and his opponent had 3.5million. The blinds were 200,000/400,000 so between them they had less than 10 BB's:confused: . Think there were also antes but not sure what they were. Crazy stuff but a lot of my mates play these events and won't hear a word against CPT, yet they think thet're getting ripped off at pokerevents cos of the reg fees. You would be blue in the face arguing with them. Even recently a mate and myself ran a €75 Freeze Out in a local pub and charged a €5 Reg fee but certain players were constantly moaning about it! Trying to explain that i wasn't going to put in a day's work for nothing didn't register. For the record we got about 40 runners so worked out €100 each for a day lasting from 5pm to 2am and everyone i think was happy with the way things ran. However decided from then that is was a % cut at future events and not a word of complaint since.
