    Hi all,

I'm looking for a mp3 or other audio of a pisstake brennan's bread ad from i think the late 80s. it carried on as a usual ad would, but the end was classic- "ah, would you ever f**k off" said old Mr. Brennan"

think it might have been scrap saturday but not sure. also remember a ronnie drew-my dublin segment from the same tape

not sure if posting it would be infringing copyright- especially as its not available anymore. anyone help?

I had that tape. It had horseracing and an American ad for orange juice also. It was Dermot Morgan et al who did the tape.

it said 'and when someone asked auld Mr. Brennan to reveal his secret, says he oh f**k and mind yer own f***in business. (and the throaty Dublin Ronnie Drew Laugh) Because he was always good at the auld repartie'.

I dunno where you can get it though :( .

You can't upload mp3s onto Boards in case there is a breach of copyright.

It was really good, I always thought it was the real actor who did the voice just caught in an out-take. I had it on tape, that must be a good 15+ years ago now.

Yeah like rubadub I thought it was real. I've was told it was outtake by the real actors who did those ads back in the 80's? Anyway I heard it back in the day (long before Scrap Saturday) and spent forever trying to track it down. Subsequently I definetly had the file on mp3 at some point (not sure if I still do tho). I'll check my archives later.

Classic, thanks. What is said at the very end? the tape I had was the same it just suddenly ended, seems like there was another line there, but maybe not a funny one.

He says "He was always good at the repartee".

And yes it is another funny line (or at least I thought so)

It was a compellation tape of recording out-takes smuggled out of RTE Radio studios back in 1985.

It used the original actors from the ads, as they were just messing around in the studio before the real take.

There's also the ad for 'Foxford' rugs on it.
