    Hi,
I've a few apps that I never really use that seem to be active every time I boot the PC. How do I go about turning them off until I need them? The main culprets are NOMAD EXPLORER in My Computer, it's the software for Creative MP3 player which I've only used about twice and will rarely use it again. Then there is a "My Bluetooth Places" in My Computer too. I don't have any blue tooth devices so this is useless for now too. How can you tell what you need when you go to task manager and how can you tell how to stop the task every time the system starts?

    Any feedback appreciated:)

Either turn them off by deleting the entry (if it's there) in Start Menu --> Programs --> Startup.

And if not there, Start Menu --> Run --> 'msconfig' --> Startup tab (uncheck what you don't need)

msconfig is your best bet. Just make sure you don't disable your firewall or your anti virus on the list!!
