    Thursday January 19th at Traffic

Dexter - LIVE [Klakson - Amsterdam]
    DJ Serge [Clone - Rotterdam]
    Rorschach [Nyakatan - Dublin]

    Admission - e12 / e10 members

Our first international guests of '06 and it's a special special
double-header with the hard rocking Dexter flying in for a rare live
appearance. I Don't Care and Intruder by Dexter were huge hits and were
featured on all the biggest electro compilations. His most recent D-Dunked &
Raw! EP's have further developed his wickedly spiky funky electro sound.
Spinning with Dexter will be the killer DJ Serge, owner of Clone Records:
label, shop and distribution company .Since the early 90's he has become
one of the most influential Dutch underground DJ's playing high quality
dance music. He's regularly to be heard spinning the Clone sound at the
likes of Fabric, CBS parties and all across Europe. Opening up the night's
entertainment will be the mysterious Rorschach - he's put out some sublime
italo mixes through underground sources over the past couple of years and
located here in Dublin, this will be his first appearance at Electric City.
Do not miss his sweet selection of rare italo tracks.

    Dexter Bio:

Remy started DJ-ing because he could not break-dance. The friends off his
older sister had a break-dance crew and were the Dutch champions in the
80`s. When he came along to battles to practice he was more interested in
what the DJ was doing and thought "I can do that". So there it started.

He couldn't afford the price their DJ was asking for mixed tapes, so he
stole them at practice and copied them and later returned them in a sneaky
way, and studied, obsessed or whatever by this music they called "space"
    electro.

Got his first turntable at the age of 12 and drove his parents insane with
hours of scratch sessions. His first DJ gig was at the age of 13 at a school
party terrorizing the 13 year olds with his scratching techniques. 14th
birthday he got the famous Casio SK1 sampler with 1.5 sec sample time from
his parents. Bought the Boss Dr. Rhythm digital DR-220 and that was the
    first setup.

Started DJ-ing in local hip hop crews and very soon produced their beats.
Sold his old setup to buy a bigger drum machine and started to produce for
several MC and crews at the age of 15.

After a few years he got his first professional sampler, the Emu Emax 1 and
producing started to get more serious. At that time house music started to
get more popular and Remy hated it. When a friend let him hear more
underground stuff especially acid he started to like it more. Being a gear
freak "Drum machines Samplers and synths" he liked acid ...but did not think
    off it as house.

He started to visit labels with demos but everything was house around 87/88.
Hip Hop wasn't as big in Holland then as it is now, he recorded a hip-house
    track for fun.

Labels liked the hip-house track a lot but didn't like the vocal. After
visiting the famous Dutch label "Lower East Side Records" he released his
first track on vinyl called "Sound So Good" by Remy Verheijen. Other project
names include The Noodle Project, Berserk, Cornflake Junkie, Remy Verheijen
    and more. 2000

He started Klakson Records together with Steven de Peven and Steffi because
off not liking the too serious puritan Dutch electro scene. First 2 releases
I Don't Care and Intruder by Dexter were huge hits and were featured on all
the biggest electro compilations. 2005: Producing the Rotterdam band called
Aplle Garden, working on Dexter Album and many other projects.

    Serge Bio

Serge is the owner of Clone. He runs his record store and mail order
business along with a distribution company (which distributes labels such as
Bunker, Viewlexx, Creme, Klakson, Eat this, Murdercapital and many others)
and he runs his two record labels (Clone Records and DUB Recordings). He has
been collecting music since 1987 when he got hit by the early Chicago and
Detroit sounds and has been playing in Dutch clubs and parties ever since.
Since the early 90's he has become one of the most influential Dutch
underground DJ's playing high quality dance music. He has also been a
resident DJ in a holiday club in the early '90s on the west coast of Holland
and besides this he's played at the most obscure underground acid parties
with Unit Moebius in the mid '90s and at locations all over Holland, ranging
from national clubnights in Paradiso, Melkweg, Nightown and many other well
known cubs, festivals like Lowlands, 5 days off/10 days off and many others.
The last 5 - 6 years he has been playing his tunes all over the globe (from
Miami, Berlin, Paris, London, Köln, Rome, Frankfurt Glasgow, Gent to
Helsinki etc) and slowly he is spreading the Clone gospel with his DJ sets
and the music he's putting out on his label. Artists such as I-f, Adult,
Carl Craig, Duplex, Funckarma, Dexter, Speedy J, Cosmic Force, Electronome,
Perspects, Alden Tyrell, Mocky, Detroit in effect, Legowelt, Bangkok Impact,
Duplex, Tiefschwarz and many others have released music on his labels. The
compilation "The Men you'll never see" has been released and created a big
stir everywhere. Also albums such as Drexciya Grava 4, Labrat XL and
Legowelt - Classics are considered real cult classics.

Clone records is one of the few labels which follows a personal musical taste and it doesn't follow any trends...(but more often sets a trend by putting out great music and not fashion hypes). Clone is known as one off the labels that created the current electro and disco revival and the releases of Clone can be found in boxes of many well known influential dj's around the globe. www.clone.nl
