40 or 20 GB [Zen Sleek Photo]

This is annoying the hell out of me.
For Christmas I bought myself a Creative mp3 player (Zen Sleek Photo).

Now, on the box when I got it it said it was 40GB, and it says this in the manualalso, but on the back of the player it says 20GB and when I attatched it to my pc, it was 20GB aswell.

So what's the story, a misprint on the packaging ?

Wrong player in the wrong box, by the sounds of it.

Yeah, I was thinking.

I'm returning it tomorrow and getting my 40GB one. Just have to get facts right incase I make fool of myself shop.

You sure it says 40 gig? Ive never heard of a 40 gig Zen sleek, and nothin about it on the creative site either. How much you pay for it?

Compare the recept to the prices of each player, see which one you actually paid for.

Got it in D.I.D, but it definitly said 40GB on box and manual. Wish I had digital camera to take pic of box :-(

As far as I'm aware, there's no such thing as a 40Gb Zen Sleek Photo (yet). ThatGuy could well prove us wrong yet, but I'd be very surprised...

The only logical explanation that I can think of is that there is a 40gig version on the way and there was a packaging mistake at the factory, i.e. the current 20GB model was packed in boxes made for the forthcoming 40 GB model.
Not doubting the OP, but i'd love to see a pic of that box!

Yup I sell the Sleek too and I haven't heard of a 40GB version.

Just to let u know that i bought a 40 gb zen jukebox and before i bought it i came onto boards and asked about it, and people said it didn't exist either, turned out that creative had shipped about 5,000 to 10,000 units into Ireland as they sold out of 30 gb ones and sold the 40 gb one's at the same price to meet demand, i had to go onto the american site to get any info about it!!

so it could well be sold in other countries, but that def is a mistske in packaging, it happens more than u think, my sis went in to buy an ipod (i know i know) and they didnt have the verison she wanted (this version was the one before the colour screen) so they told her they would give her a version older than the one she wanted for €30 less (20 gb one), she bought it and left and when she got home we discovered it was the lastest one with the movie player and the big screen and (30 gb)!!

so u win some u lose some i suppose

but def go back and get your money, creative are cool enough to deal with i know from dealing with them
