    I dont believe the irish monk story and that chinese one doesn't hold up So im stickin with the portugese or the spanish.I forget who it actually was,JC history isin't exactly fresh in my brain.

    Sorry, but unless it's the origional and can be carbon dated to approx. that time, i wouldn't class a date on a piece of paper hundreds of years after that date as a credible source...I.E. approx 350 years after the date of the map it claims to be a copy of...

    i love this idea of "discovering". it was always there and there were natives there for thousands of years before any of the dates that are claimed by coloumbus, vasco,st. brendan, zheng he's fleets or anyone else.

    I heard about the Chinese one a while ago, National Geographic did a piece on it iirc. Interesting stuff alright. The Vikings called America "Vinland" I believe.I have a book on it but haven't got around to reading it yet.

    Aye, thats the name of a map of the area believed to have been landed by Leifr Eriksson.....its very interesting.
