PC World Blanchardstown had a load of Xbox and PS2 games on sale this morning. Most seemed to be snapped up by the staff there but other branches should have the same price changes.

Prices were as low as €2 each for Goldeneye: Rogue Agent and Vietcong: Purple Haze on the Xbox.

Well I was out there abouts half 3 and saw nothing of the sort even seen one of two of the games up on your list and they wherent that price, id have picked them up if they where. Maby they sold out of the ones on sale and there where others at full price or something.

Alot of the time, the merchandisers may not be able to get around to everything. Best thing to do is bring it up and ask. They're phasing out all the non-recent xbox titles.

    Its while stocks last.

Well I was out there abouts half 3 and saw nothing of the sort even seen one of two of the games up on your list and they wherent that price, id have picked them up if they where. Maby they sold out of the ones on sale and there where others at full price or something.

Exactly what Jammer said. PC World's prices are often wrong. The staff in the store may not even know about the price change unless their manager told them, which he may not have had time to do or may not have even checked for the correspondance. Bring the product up to the cash desk and get them to scan it. The prices have been implemented on their system, which means they'll be in any store in Ireland.

Stores like the one you went to are actually the best to go to. If the prices haven't been implemented on the floor, you could pick up some real bargains. I'd get back there asap if I was you.

Some people were even buying Xbox games that didn't have an Xbox. Just to bring the games over to Game or Xtravision and trade them in.

only 15 miles apart on the m50, about 20 mins drive(allowing for bad traffic)

as jammer said, the games are that price IN ALL THE PC WORLDS, as its on the stock file for that, it may well just be priced wrong on the box as it was never repriced for the now correct price.

not much left in liffey valley, they had about 75-100 games in total for that price range, now about 20-25

Looks like Currys and Dixons have some of these titles at the discounted prices (whether marked as such or not)

Went into PC World Galway to pick up a Soul Calibure 2 for €2. They had them and at the price but when they went to get the CD they had none :( and there were 3 cases on the shelf  It felt werid going up for a €2 refund :)

The other titles were there but none of them are marked down on the shelf but on the till it is. Didn't want them so took my €2 and left.

They all would. The discount went down on the system for all stores.

Dixons, Currys and PC World are all owned by the same company.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Or, to be correct, Dixons own Currys and PC World. They're all part of DSG, Dixons Group.
