usb key problem

    i bought a usb key yesterday,i have an old dell pc(dimension 4100) and i installed the win 98 drivers and it worked grand last night. however today the computer is not recognising the usb key when i plug it in2 the usb port. could it be the usb port is dirty or something?

    any help woud be greatly appreciated ....

    Have you restarted the PC ?

    I would try and look for a USB update from M$ or something might help, and yes could be dirty but if you move it around it should pick it up.

    Also check your control panel and see if anything is having trouble.

    Sorry cant give better help, been a while since 98 so can't remember it too well.

    PS also check the Manufactors website could get some drivers / info
