I use some fairly wierd ones in 'wireless temperature sensors' .......... they are about 20mm in dia and 3 or 4mm thick ........ I use 4 a year at 6.00 euro's each and found my local Jewellery store to be the best source but I've often wondered if I'm paying over the odds  ....

Sources I'd usually try for small batteries would be:
Jeweller's stores because they usually sell watches that use small batteries.
Some Motor factors/car part stores have a selection as well because a lot of those car alarm/door lock remote zappers use similar small batteries.

pound shops do the hearing aid batteries but the the old coin batteries are not cheap - must be some place that does bulk CR3032's at a reasonable price

maplin sells a wide variety. put the battery code into the search thing on their website http://maplin.co.uk and see if they sell the ones you want

Peats in town do them too... and jewellers will also stock the more popular ones (at over inflated prices ... )
