Well I will tell you this. The best job is not in IT :(

Best Job I ever had was working in the airport as a baggage handler, great fun, good money and Unionised conditions. Best 2 summers work I ever had.

Best job I've ever had lasted a year, doing something I didnt really like, not paid brilliantly... but the people and place was brilliant.
It was the type of job I went to work happy on a Monday morning, knowing the craic we'd have.

I'm fairly happy with my current job and it rates well above my previous ones. The pay could do with a kick in the upward direction but the work and working environment are good.

McDonalds flipping burgers when I was a uni student.
Great craic, the wages were 100% spent on entertainment, and I was the best burger flipper in the place!!..ahh good memories!!

Best job? €200 a month in Macedonia, working as a web programmer. In a delightfully cool airconditioned room, cooling my hangover, while I wrote up my program in peace, for 25 hours a week. Then I'd go home, have a siesta, eat, go out, sleep, eat and then work again. The kind of life cycle that just can't be beat (until liver failure...)

I love greyhound racing and horse racing so when I started working part time in Paddy Powers. Heaven wasn't the word. Despite leaving a few years ago, I'm still friendly with the people i worked with in there to this day. Brilliant people, great job and Padd Power bookies are top notch too. I don't think I'll ever have a better job

I did the scoreboard at the Irish Open (golf) a few times. Used just sit back, watch the golf, smoke up some and change the odd score. Great job.
I also did some shovel-leaning (I mean labouring) for a county council - easy money just after my Leaving Cert.
