Hey, I can't see anything in the food/drink section and/or can't find anything for restaurants. We go for lunch everyday in the city centre and we always get stuck for a new and decent place to go.. then we usually end up going to the Kylemore Cafe or upstairs in Cleary's. Both places do a carvery style lunch for +/- €10.

Is there anywhere else in the O'Connell st/Westmorlan st direction that does something similar?!

edit - we are looking for somewhere healthy, or healthier then Mcdonalds etc.

So can anyone suggest somewhere in City Centre that would cost approx €10 and is remotely healthy?

Have you tried the Westmorland/Westin hotel? Im sure they do carvery lunches... or the Trinity Hotel just up from Fireworks.. ??

Grand Central, the pub on the corner of o'connell st and abbey st does a nice food menu. It's fairly reasonable priced, or it was last time I was there.

The Italian quarter which is between Jervis st Luas station and the quays has some really nice cafe's that do great lunches. A couple do carvery stuff and one does really nice daily specials of 3 different Italian dishes. Plus the coffee is excellent there.

Then there's what seems to be a boards favourite - The Epicurean Food Hall on Abbey St/Liffey St. A wide selection on offer there.

The Epicurean isn't great. It's over rated and over priced but the French place Christophes is usually good.

The Market Bar, Fade st (beside Hogans) best value lunch in Dublin. My fav is the fish pie. Potatoes, cherry tomatoes, salmon, white fish and mussels in a mornay sauce topped with cheddar for and every dish is €6. Amazing.

The Redberry Asian Cafe on Georges st (near the globe). Surprisinly good lunch specials for €8.50. Very decent quality and great portions. I really enjoyed my crispy beef. Well worth a look.

Irish Film Institute does good lunch although it's goes up and down a bit. The veggie burger is good although the fries ain't what they used to be.

Da Pino on Parliament/Dame st has to be one of the best value restaurants in the city. They serve a starter, main and decent coffee for an amazing €8.70. It feels a bit like a holiday restaurant in Spain but is better. Very down to earth and the staff are lovely.

O'Neills on Suffolk street has one of the better carverys in the city. It's nothing fancy and fairly old school but their corned beef is worth a look.

Gruel on Dame St does high quality homemade lunch fare. Amazing roasts and home made breads. It's a little on the ironic cool side but it's very friendly and worth the odd visit.

To tired to think of any more right now!
