Questions for potential wedding photographer?

    Hi all,

Getting hitched in September and I'm currently checking out photographers. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what questions I should ask them when making enquiries? (apart from "are you available" and "how much" of course)

I want a flexible package, not just a handful of prints in a book for my grand-and-a-half. If it was up to me, I'd own the pics and do what I wanted with them, but I understand it doesn't work like that. What should I expect in a decent package, 25 photos, 50 photos + CD slideshow, 50 photos printed and also in digital format on CD to do reprints from?

    Cheers,
    B.

you specify what you want, exactly what you want, the photographer than either do what you want or not get the job, it's their decision to set a price.

Very few will give you full rights to your photos as that's how the photographer actually makes their living. so if you want the rights, you'll have to pay the equivalent plus a bit more of what they'd earn from selling prints to you

(if you print one of the shots badly, show it to your friends, it reflects badly on the photographer, because you didn't print it properly, therefore th photographer is potentially losing business)
