    Well ive got quite a few movies and tv programmes on my pc that i want to copy to DVD so i can watch them on the ol' tv. There all 'video clip' files. What's the best way of doing this? Preferably freeware software if possible. I have Nero 7 aswell to copy the dvd at the end so i don't need anything like that.

    Thanks,

    bubba

    Win Avi or DivxToDVD Converter are 2 good programs.
    Win Avi is the fastest.

    vso dixtodvd is free but i haven't found one that doesn't muck up the sound. at this point i think this topic should be stickied. 15 times so it takes up the whole first page so it doesn't get posted every day

    Yeah a Sticky for general media convertors would be a handy idea.

    Here's a few to start:

    DVD -> DivX/XviD : AutoGK
    DivX/XviD -> DVD : DIKO

    WAV -> MP3 : CDex
    MP3 -> WAV : CDex

    And they are all FREE

    I have been using Auto GK for about a year now and I find to be very good for both creating DivX and Xvid. It take a bit a setting up at the start but after that its just a matter of select an input and a desired quality output.

    I only downloaded DIKO recently and have not tested it fully yet. But there I know that there are other DIKO user on boards - perhaps someone could post some more info.

    What to u use?
