Dell US warranty in Ireland?

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a Dell monitor in the US, which even with shipping and import duty would be considerably cheaper than in Ireland. Is it possible to take out an Irish warranty, or would Dell honor the US warranty? Thanks, Ro

You'll proberly need to pay shipping back to the US for them to carry out warranty repairs.

I just stumbled upon this on Google.

As I read it, any US warranty can be transferred to any country where Dell has a presence. Considering Ireland is their European base, that should be fine.

Does this make sense?
