    HEy

Im just after dropping my laptop. Its an Apple powerbook. It seems to be working ok. But the corner's smashed a bit. If it was a car I'd say it needed some panel beating. Anyone know what I can do? Have I damaged the insides? Where can I go to get this fixed?

I'm just after spending €2500 on this. I sold my car cause I need it for work. Please can someone offer any sort of advice?

Are you looking to get it fixed or examined? Getting it fixed will most likely be costly..
You should alays be doing it anyway, but now more than ever: ensure you keep VERY regular backups as a precaution - it might only be exterior damage.. it's impossible to say without opening it up.

    How old is it?
    Did you get insurance? ;)

Now there;s a gaping hole at the front of the laptop. Im worried about dust and stuff.

Anyone know if theres an Apple store in Dubin? Think I'll try and get it repaired.

Ya it's covered on my house insurance I think.
But that would hike up my house insurance wouldnt it.

I bought it in August or September.

    Is anything loose in it?
Try giving it a shake and see if anythings rattling.

There's a new dedicated mac place at the bottom on Grafton street, near Molly Malone, I think it's the same door as the camera shop. If you're about there, ask them.

Would you trust yourself to fix it?
If so, grab a rubber mallett and I'll talk you through it.
