hi, i'm going inter railing this summer with four friends and was wondering if anyone on boards has gone. basically, we're not really sure how much money we will need. ten countries, 24 days (or there abouts). hostels are looking pretty pricey.. a friend of a friend went and spent 1,400 euro but not sure if travel costs…

I did it but it was 4 years ago and I spent around €2500 but I was gone for over a month. We spent a lot of time in the Eastern countries where the cost of living is a lot less. It depends on where you go and what you do really. €1500 for just over 3 weeks sounds ok though.
