Obviously bad play on my part but just curious what i should have done differently...

I forget the specifics but in a recent game i was playing I called the big blind (afraid i cant tell ya how many were in at this stage or where i was sittin) i had something along the lines of 57 off suit and the flop comes out with something along the lines of 5J7 to give me two pair, there was a few bets around the table and when it came around to me i re-raised all in everyone folds apart from one other who calls and shows AQ, turn comes out K, river 10 to give him a straight.. the pot was quite big and my all in was in the region of 30 - 50 euro (just under the pot). was this bad play?

Another similar scenario with me going all in on a 2 pair after the flop, i had a similar hand to the one above with lowish cards but hit 2 pair on the flop, the other guy who went in mad trip 3's on the flop, he acted after me to call my all in, all comments welcome

well the first hand was just unlucky.
Obviously you didnt pick a good starting hand to see a flop with. But he hit runner runner too win, just unlucky.

Bottom hand i think you over played your two pair.
We are lacking a bit of information here though, like was there any raises preflop etc?
If there was you definately overplayed two pair as it is possible that the chap was holding pocket pair (which obviously he was) Even if there was no preflop raise imo you are always looking for trouble seeing flops with muck hands.
I dont like the all in play on the two pair!!!!!!!

    regards
