The pill- low sex drive

I have a very low sex drive, and i am very dry during sex. My boyfriend and I have tried everything to remedy this, but to no avail.
I recently read a study in the Irish Independant linking low sex drive to the pill. I have been on Yasmin for about a year, and was on others for a few years before that. Has anyone else had any symptoms? I am going to go to my doctor anyway, but i'm just curious about others out there?

Different people react differently to the various types of pill, there might be one out there that suits you.

I didn't necessarily notice that I had a low sex drive when i went on the pill but i was definitely dryer down there. We just used some lube. However I went off the pill after being on it for about a year and I did notice that I've been hornier then ever!

I read a report not so long ago, I cant find it now, that the pill is thought to lower the sex drive permanently in some women, I told my girlfriend to stop it straight away.
Since she has stopped, she doesn't tend to be as dry and it took a few months to work it's way out of her system, but it has definitely done the trick, no way I would recommend that anyone takes the pill.
I think there is a good possibility that the pill is responsible for a lot of men complaining that sex is not as good as when they first got with their partner....mostly because they went from condoms to the pill.... I dont know if this is the case, but there wont be any pill in our house anymore.

i was on the pill yasmin for 3 years, i went off it and in the process of switching birth control
ive noticed my sex drive has dipped slightly since going off it, but i dont have the sometimes dry down there feeling anymore during sex

I'm happy enough now but tbh sometimes it was really frustrating though being horny all the time

You try to get some quantity and quality flies out the window!

depends on the woman as i said mine went higher while on it

yup, im on microlite and my sex drive is a joke.......im only interested when its the week of my period

I'm on Microlite with absolutely no problems.

My advice would be to try other contraceptive pills. They all affect people differently, so what works for one person need not work for another
