just another 2 people,we get worked up because they are irish but 50000 africans will die today so shed a tead or ten for them.

    just another 2 people

You sympathetic enough to the starving, war torn africans (and rightly so) but yet you say "just" another 2 people in regards to the irish victims above. If you're going to bitch about not enough care at least be consistent. Don't reject the sadness caused by one trajedy because its of a smaller scale than another.

But that dosen't effect us, so why should we care?

Well I happen to be doing an erasmus year in France right now and while I didn't know these two girls, I know too well it could have me or one of my classmates.

why are you specifically targeting these two threads to troll in when it's clear that they were opened for one specific purpose and that's to discuss the tragedy of what happened. It's all very well having a laugh but why here? Get a life.

we tried discussing possibilites on the cruise ship girl thread and people start giving out! unless the thread is a specific "book of condolence" type thread then i think anything relevant can be discussed. whats there to discuss about 2 people dying in a fire? or by discussion do you just mean spout banal cliched condolences such as "god love them" "a terrible tragedy" "especially after christmas " etc etc?

Im probably gonna get slated but ronbyrne2005 im with you on this one.

its still very much a tragedy that these two people died , but theyre Irish so that makes it extra special?!?!? ...thats ridicuolous.

People have been starving and suffering by the masses for obscenley long periods of time on different continents. and some girl falls of a cruise ship and its the end of the world.

Still , its a tragedy that they met an early death - but this is a fact of life and many more people will die everyday

Some people love using pc labels, nobody is being unreasonable in suggesting you discuss this stuff but have a little tact will you, all you have to do is google a few relevent words to get straight here and youve already been warned about friends reading these posts.

Alternatively continue on down this road to see how far you can get which is probably what is going to happen

Thats a terrible thing to say, Im from the same village as Patricia McDonald (Coote), a year younger than her, you people are always the hypocrits who say that kind of thing from behind the comfort of a computer screen, would you say that in public to your mates?

Nothing wrong with well meaning people coming together to mourn the tragedy of a stranger its quite a nice thing to do...
