ive lost a good bit of weight in the last year but i still cannot get rid a little stomach and fat in other places... do i just need to keep at it losing wieght or do i need to do certain exercises to lose it? the thing about exercises is i dont want to become perticularly big muscle wise, i just want to become skinny with some muscle if you get what i mean...

i have the muscle i want but its hidden under the fat haha

    advise please

Warning: If you lose your stomach you will DIE!

Good of cardio-vascular excercise should burn off the excess fat over time and leave you a lot fitter/healthier. Situp's won't make a noticable difference once you've done enough to tuck in the muscle.

Diet. It's all diet. And regardless of what you lift, you can only get as big as your diet will allow. Basically, you not eating to grow, so you wont.

If your not doing ANY weights at the moment i would tell you to start, as the boost to your metabolism and calorie requirment will burn away the last of the fight.

Also, there is no such thing as spot reduction when it comes to fat stores. However, what may seem like a little fat belly may be a weak abdominal wall, so some crunches and leg raises will set that right. Do a few sets of each every second day and you will see an improvement.

No need to do a Patrick Batemen and knock out sets of 1000 or anything.

If you post a bit more one your diet and excercise we can help more. But drink plenty of water to avoid water retention, and eat brown carbs and lean meats, some veg, fruit, nuts ( non salted) and olive oil. Grab yourself a multi viatmine and omega oils ( fish or flax, the choice is yours) and you are on the right track.

I'll be going home shortly to iron some non-gym clothes. :(

(This is relevant to fitness, albeit rather loosely).

Can I have a ranch, some horses to frollick around my ranch in, a gym to go in my ranch and a personal trainer to go in the gym.

That will be all for now ;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,497 ✭✭✭✭Dragan

Em...sure.....it may take me a little time. Try not to age at all in the next 50 years and i'll be back to ya!!! ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭amazingemmet

I offer to sell Dragan to the white slave trade for you, he's big and strong so will get a good price. so what colour do you want your ranch?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,497 ✭✭✭✭Dragan

Stupid gym, make me into a good slave......oh well, if Conan is anything to go buy, and i'm assuming that it is, my build will only improve during my slaving activities, as long as it includes pushing a big stone wheel around, and around and around.

See everyone benefits. Most people would pay a fortune for that kind of training

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,497 ✭✭✭✭Dragan

As long as my gruel is low high protein, medium carbs and containing some good healthy fats i down with it.

But be warned, just like the mighty Conan, someday i may grow strong enough to break my chains, kill my oppresors and unleash faux fur and bad accents on the world. Oh yeah, and a **** off big sword.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭amazingemmet

When you escape you could make your way to hollywood pillaging all the way then make some dodgy but still legend movies. Probably need to lose the irish accent though.

Dragan the Destroyer got a good ring to it, got an agent?

ooh now there's an offer a girl can't refuse- not too pushed about the colour of the ranch but big strong stallions all the way please to be housed in it.

    Ditto for the trainer ;)

    actually on seconds thoughts...

don't know her personally but a friend of mine does, saw her at the Mr. Ireland comp in September. That girl is in GOOD shape!!!! she's done pretty well in a lot of the Europeans and I thought I heard a rumour she was going to do the Ms. Olympia but dodn't hear any more about it.

she seriously makes it look so easy.. abs of steel? oh yeah, they're so simple to get!!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,494 ✭✭✭ronbyrne2005

yeah she put on two stone of muscle in a year as she felt she hadnt enough muscle to compete internationally,i dont know how she did he but shes looking too muscular for my liking now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭amazingemmet

    2 stone naturally or juiced?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,494 ✭✭✭ronbyrne2005

she's nearly 40 or 40 and packs on 2 stone of muscle to an already well built female body! i have my doubts that a woman in such good shape could gain another 2 stone of muscle with female levels of testosterone.
