what is needed to become a pro mma fighter??

    how many amatuer fights do you need first? do u need a manager and who do u apply to, to become a pro?

    Paddy.. there is no set standard. There are many opportunities.. Have a few amatuer fights, if you win you'll get noticed. Promoters are always looking for fighters on semi-pro cards - Apply for one of these after a few amatuer fights, they are your stepping stone to a full on pro show.

    For Ireland, I'd suggest Amatuer MMA League, then Ring of Truth and then Rings. In that order more or less. Obviously hard work and dedication are needed.. Alot of the guys on these circuits train alot and are ready for whatever is thrown at them.

    I wouldn't worry about going pro just yet - try the amatuer stage first.

    suppose it depends on if by pro you mean someone making a decent amount of money from it or if you mean somebody who fights pro rules.

    If you can take a shotgun to the chest you can take most mma fights... imo.

    I reckon Dolf has the right of it though, work your way in.
