hey, I'm currently doing a college project and I'm trying to find out if there are any alternatives to VOIP around that don't require broadband? If these services include IM facilities then all the better. Any suggestions?

Calling cards or the equivlant. Also skype is reported to work over dial-up links but I'm not convinced......

Been using Skype on a perfect quality dialup line for a while and while it is usable its not a very pleasant experience

@OP also satphones?

google talk but you cant ring landlines just other people but its great quaility and very quick handy and easy to set up
