As far as I know this doesnt sell at retail. You might find an OEM copy but that means you'll need to buy another component for your system.

The version sold by Komplett is UK version there is an Irish version supposed to have been released in October but to date I've not been able to locate a supplier!!!

The UK version requires a UK post code for the EPG to work ( I put in a Belfast one which worked but you only get BBC/itv.Ch4 EPG....) Also the set up for TV tuners is not suitable for the cable systems in the Republic....

Other than that it seems ok an update is now available I am told.

Hope that info is of some use,

    Cheers

UK version is fine here. An update (Rollup 2) was released in October for irish EPG. This is a freebie of course.

I'd be interested in finding out whats the best tvcard for the NTL (digital) service?

theres no "best" as such. Egnerally the Hauppage range of PVR's are quite good. They seem to have the least visible artifacts in the files they record.

The PVR500 is ideal as it has two tuners, allowing you to record two shows, watch one and record another, or watch two shows on different stations through extenders

well, I bought the R/C from eBay(USA) for $34.99 plus $8.00 shipping which works out at about €35.50 (http://www.xe.com/ucc/). Shipping was very reasonable for a US seller. Here's a link to the guy, he seems to have different postage rates on different auctions -some $10/$9/$8.

An alternative that might be of interest is Mediaportal

    http://www.team-mediaportal.com/

Its free (opensource also) and is well supported also. Worth a look if you don't want to buy a full mediacentre pc. Just get a hauppauge card or similar and away you go.
