Finally, I didn't want to start a thread about this because I thought it would make me foolish, and hopefully this won't.

The old guy with the beard who owned the boat, the pair had a name for him I believe and not for love nor money can I remember what it was.

If anyone could tell me what it was I would be very grateful.

Did the old fellow not have a nickname though?

Either he did or I am once again imagining things... No I am not imagining things, I am almost 100% sure that he did indeed have some sort of a nickname and I just don't remember the feckin yoke at this moment in time.

I couldve sworn John from Rosie and Jims nickname was bobbit...I wonder if Rosie and Jim cut his privates off??? :D

Piecing together information from this thread and this rosie and jim website, I conclude that the old fellows name was indeed 'Tootle'.

Amazing how some useless bit of trivia like that can annoy me so much....
