    ah no

    dont spread that about

the real answer when people say they "lost" their admin account is to tell them to use a time machine, or dont forget your password.

    Use your powers for good!

easiest way to reset your password in xp, is...

boot up in safe mode (tap F8 a few times when you switch on pc for the menu)
    click on the administrator icon
when xp finishes booting (it will take a while) goto start and run and type in cmd and press enter
in the command windows type in then entire line below this

    net user "your accountname" *

note.. to find out your accountname just type in net user and press return that will list them off

    then press enter 3 times

    reboot pc normally and enjoy

this is the fastest way and doesn't require any software

note 2... if the administrator account looks for a password, its the one used when you originally installed windows

You could also build a complete boot disk with all the tools you will ever need. Dont be discouraged by the instructions follow them and you will be quite surprised with the results.

    Check the following link

    http://www.ubcd4win.com/howto.htm

You will need your copy of Windows XP to build the CD.

If someone has physical access to your windows machine, they have full control, unless you have removed all drives and passworded the BIOS.

passworded bios only adds a delay, except on p3+ laptops

removing the hard drive and putting it in a safe should keep your data safe

but hay now were drifting totally of topic

The administrator password is blank by default, try typing in administrastor for the username and leaving the pass blank and hit enter?
