    Hey everyone,

I've been posting for a while on here and it seems to be growing and growing in popularity so as part of my new years resolution (to spend more time on all things paranormal) I've decided to put my graphic design talents to use .... and do an Irish Paranormal Mini-Mag!

I've love regular input from you guys no matter what views you take. It will start of as a small (8 page) PDF Magazine available to download from my site http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mark.guerin/6thsensitive.html (which i'm only starting) but once i get that running and moved to www.6thsensitive.com I hope it will take off and with some advertising I can get it printed. I've been working in the print business for 6 years now so I know how realistic this is.... with your help.

    So what does everyone think?

Sounds like a great idea, that web page would make an excellent front cover for a magazine too if that's what you were thinking, very catchy design.

Any chance you'll be looking for feature columnists ? I wouldn't be looking for any pay, just a modest travel allowance and expense account. :)

Sounds like a good idea! I suspect there is enough interest in the paranormal in Ireland, and I'd love to help out with a couple of articles to get you going.

I think it's a really good idea. When I get my websites back up and running, I'll be sure to provide you with some linkage on my friends page, to provide more exposure. I don't mind helping out with a few things here and there if you need it :)

Though that said, I think it may be time-dependant on my part, seeing as I'll have a few essays to worry about when uni starts back again.

Sounds like a very good idea, any help you need just ask!

Cheers guys, those are the kind of responses I needed to know it was a good idea. The front for my website will be similar to the mag but covers will vary of course.

Anyone can submit stuff to go in, but I probably wont pay til It starts being a competitor for Fortean Times!
Kenneth dont worry about time, I'm sure it will take me a while to get it going and even then its just a pet project to start with. My priority is my website right now ...oh and finding a job as i'm still unemployed!

Anyway anyone has any ideas just post them here or pm me.

I suppose for a future issue, we can do an investigation report?

    Count me in.

As for content, do you want it to be specifically about irish paranormal, or just paranormal in general for the irish?

I will focus on irish paranormal but will include a section which will look at it on a wider scale.

I'm thinking maybe I should hold off on it til after another investigation so It has something as a main feature?

We should really try to be a bit more organised the next time, that way we actually have some experiments to discuss rather than "our night in a castle".

By "we" I mean those of us who go, not neccessarily me who is lazy and poor.

Yes I was involved somewhat with IUFOPRA ( and Spectrum before that). The UPRI newsletter is worth reading, and they put on a great festival the last 2 years with lots of guest speakers. I'll pm their email address to you

Solas: not sure what kind of things people would ask an agony aunt in a mag like this ... its too scary to even think about!

Otherwise the mag is coming along fine. I have posted up tread with regards to people writing for the mag but would love to know what people want to see in it?

Dear Solas, last night my cat levitated while we were watching the new series of Bones. Is this normal and should I mention it to my vet on our next visit.

looking forward to reading the mag.

You could dedicate a section to interviews with those in the business.
    Colin fry
    Tony stockwell
Ian lead investigator of paranormal ireland
mysteria, mysterious female psychic person who lurks around on boards occasionally etc..

    (I ask good questions)

Anyone wants to mail me anything its 6thdesign@gmail.com

Solas, I was playing wit hthe idea of an interview section but there are limited people to interview. I will be going ahead with it and most interviews will be a series of questions sent to the person in question by email. Before i contact a potential interviewee I will announce it here if anyone has any specific questions. One person I want to question is Mr. Gerry Ryan ... he regularily covers the topic on the radio and would love to hear what he has to say.

Ok well my temporary site is looking a little better now

    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mark.guerin/6thSite/6thSensitiveEnter/enter.html

As for the magazine, i get my quote from the printers tomorrow (am working there at the moment so it should be good news), if its in buget i will be getting 300 printed to send out to groups around ireland and shops that sell anything to do with the whole area. I will also have it to download but its looking like the launch will be the end on the month.

Would love more suggestions on what you guys would like to see in it.

Ziycon i sent you back a mail about the EVP article and Zillah is doing on on Ouija Boards. on that topic hwo would people feel about there being a A4 Ouija board designed by me as a page in the PDF mag and a pull out in the printed version?
