    I don't think they're related.
just the same concept, I think.
    But I'm not sure.!

Was in getting tattooed today with Danny Bullman. He made a show just like Miami Ink 2-3 years ago in his own shop and a few around Dublin. Never copyrighted the idea. He's got like 200 hours of video with him tattooing loads of celebrities. He's ragin'

sorry for digging up an old thread...

i started watching this a while ago too after i got my Tattoo

i think its pretty interesting to see the reasons why people choose tattoos and the meaning behind them.. co you see cool tattoos on people all the time but you cant really stop them and ask.. "what did you gat that there for?"

    good show alright

Both shows are big hits here in the states. They're not related I don't think.

It's ****e.. the artists are crap.. some of the work is dodgy as ****!!
+ they don't really own or run the shop, they only use it a few weeks a year to film. Those artists dont really work there.

Yeah, I read an interview with Kat Von D and she said that she doesn't even know the other guys and has only ever seen most of them on set. She said the owner with the bald head doesn't even acknowledge her and that Chris Garver is her only mate on the show. The customers are handpicked from 100's of applicants and do not walk in off the street as shown on the show. In fairness though to make a TV series this is probably necessary to get the feel of a real shop. Some of the work they do is nice especially Chris Garver who is top class.

It wasn't Bizarre that I saw it in. It was one of the tat mags and she was on the cover, think it was "Total Tattoo", but not sure.
