Doing some research on Flights to Oz and Austrian seem to be very good value. Anyone here ever flown with them (specifically to Sydney), what are they like? Would you recommend them?

    http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/austrian.htm

Be careful, some of their flights are operated by their subsiduary, Lauda Air whose seating etc is a little bit tighter than Austrian themselves.

    Gandalf

Do a search for dates with

    http://www.dialaflight.com/

I find them very cheap-then as Buffy Bot has said go to the airline quality site above and check for flight reviews and seat pitch etc.

They will find flights out of Heathrow but you can connect to there from Dublin each way at the moment fo 1€ plus tax if you book the connection on aer lingus

I say, just book the flight (the cheapest), get on the plane.....take as many drugs as you need to survive the flight and then enjoy the holiday........

    :)

cheapflights.co.uk is also worth checking out. You might come up a different airline with them.

my sister is living in Sydney at the moment and flew home with Austrian back in August, had no complaints at all, got a good price too obviously. so there's at least one happy customer

it's up to you, see what happens.......take the chance (damn I wish I was getting on a plane to Sydney *sighs* )

Actually now that I think of it-do Austrain go all the way there themselves or is it a codeshare?
If it is, then its the code share airlines seating that you would want to check.
the flight number on a test booking page should tell you if it is a code share or not.
