What cable did you hook up to the TV and where did you put them?

    What cable are you using?

A VGA cable won't make any difference to the sound.

I just checked on the philips site and it said it puts the video and sound through the dvi slot on the tv so once i get the vga i should be sorted.
Does the vga make the picture even better on a HD?

How will a VGA cable allow you to put sound through a DVI connection o_O. VGA only carries video.

There are RCA inputs on the TV will accept the sound. Just plug the red and white connectors from the xbox into them.

What cable are you using now?

i have the same TV, but have a surround sound setup so i'm not affected, but i've read lots about this, and it's documented on the philips site..."In order to hear sound you must connect your X-Box360 using a DVI adaptor. Simply connect the audio leads to the 'DVI Audio In' on the TV to receive sound."

the VGA adaptor for the 360 also as the red and white audio feeds along side it,
    ( http://www.whitedog.co.uk/catalog/images/xbox360_vga_hdav_cbl.jpg )
so... you use the DVI to VGA adaptor that came with the TV, then plug in the 360 VGA adaptor, and then the 2 audio feeds just next to the DVI socket on the TV and that'll solve your problem. but to be honest, if you are using such a high grade tv, and haven't got a surround system, it may be worth thinking of getting one... i'm looking at upgrading from a Creative DTT3500 at the moment, and the set i am currently eyeing is the Logitech 5400 (not the 5450 they are wireless and more expensive, and not the 5500, they are a couple of years old now, plus the 5400's have dual optical inputs and a coax in, and 3 x 3.5mm in for all the sources you could imagine...)

you can pick them up on Komplette for about 230euros... and defo investment!!

I picked up a Yamaha a/v receiver with Dolby Digital and 5.1 speakers for €399.95 in power city just before the crimbo, well chuffed with them, gaming so much better in surround, I can here footsteps from any direction in COD2 online it rocks! PGR3 the engine sound comes from where it should when your in car, it adds so much to gaming, I don't know why I didn't get one years ago :D
