Nominations - Movie that Deserved Better

What movie do you feel was over-looked by the general public in 2005? What movie do you think maybe was too harshly dealt with by people and critics and that really needs a second look?

To be eligible, the film must have been released on Irish cinema screens during the year 2005 (or up to the final date of closing of nominations). Each voter can only nominate a maxiumum of two titles for this category only. Any further ones shall be ignored.

Using my second vote to say The Constant Gardener. It got a fair bit of critical acclaim, but not nearly the kind of box-office success it deserved.

War of the Worlds - classic story, could have been done much better, and why couldn't it be set in England like the story goes (at least on Jeff Waynes one, not sure bout the original).

Umm this isn't for movies that you think should have been made better... it's for movies that people thought ought to have performed better - either with the critics or worldwide audiences.

For my own moddy vote, I'm going with "Serenity".

I'm also going with "Primer" because nobody seemed to mention it elsewhere on boards (although fair dues to it appearing in the Irish Times movies of the year). Any movie with the classic quote:

Are you hungry? I haven't eaten since later this afternoon.

and have that quote be perfectly sensible, is good by me.
