I've moved this to a thread (par'n the pun) of its own, as it's not really relevant to the "getting started" thread.

As a suggestion, M8 nuts/bolts are readily available in hardware stores, so it wouldn't be hard to test...

I have a masters and I use the standard 5/16 fittings and they work fine.

cheers, am only getting round to ordering the bow and i was ordering a longrod at the same time so screwing in a bolt wasn't an option. tanks again

and if anyone has any do's and dont's for the bow that would be great.

Make sure they give you the 2005 version and not the 2004. The 2005 version has a newer limbs alignment system.

And one more question what does ''Misc #1: 16mm or 28mm'' mean when ordering a beiter longrod?

With the beiter longrod you can go straight through a vbar without the need for a extender bolt. If you buy a beiter Vbar then get the 28mm version.
You can see in the pictures that the bolt can go straight in to the riser or through the vbar.

I think you should get the 28mm version.. If it doesnt fit the vbar you buy just remove the bolt in the vbar.

good evening yet again. well i've got the bow and its pretty and red. the longrod is also red but a wee bit bent/twisted. i've been told its not uncommon for a beiter and that if i unscrew the tuning blocks i can straighten it....is this true or have i bought a lemon?

Mark where the tuners are on the longrod (silver pen is good)

Take it completely apart (that's take EVERYTHING off the carbon rods) leave for an hour or so, then reassemble.

It should come back straight unless something's very very wrong. It's a good activity to do while watching a movie... :)
