    well if it were me id go for the widescreen, they both have the same spec (bar the screen format)
    if your doing alot of gaming/video editing/photoshop, or watching dvd, go for the widescreen as it has more screen room and is natural feeling to the eye.

    its up to yourself really, but say if you did go for the dell, will your friend be helpfull if something happens to the monitor?

    That 19" widesceeen from Amazon is a great price, but when I tried to buy it I was told that it could not be shipped to Ireland. It seems there is come confusion about it's category. I'm checking this out...

    Did you have any luck checking that out? I tried buying it myself and got in touch with shopireland. They said to ring amazon.
