prem plus picture keeps freezing

    prem plus picture keeps locking up and freezing solid. Is there any adjustment I can do to stop this? All other channels are fine, its the 3rd time this has happened. Ntl say they can send an engineer out next week, But its no good today!!!! I have checked connections and made sure everything is plugged in correctly and securely.

    strange it only does it when match is on, Run up to match it is fine, Half time it is fine, but during play it is terrible.

    Had a similar problem today with the West ham V Chelski match, totally un watcheable, picture kept freezing jumping.

    Checked scarts etc. Thing was unlike you it was on all satellite stations.

    Took out the smart card,it was brown at the end like half burnt.Been in there since I got it about 7 years ago. Reckon I might need a new card and possibly a decoder ( which is also about 7 years old ) ?


    After about 4 hours the picture freezing/jumping seems to have gone for the moment.

    How long does it usually take for NTL to send out a technican in Dublin ?

    Perhaps it was not my end then and a general fault, But I have noticed the last few matches on Prem plus have had trouble? Sometimes the screen goes completely green

    Had the same problem a few months back. Rang NTL & they refunded me the cost of the games i couldn't watch (wasn't that much as have season ticket so each game only costs a few euro!). They sent an engineer out & he rewired all the connections in the house - took him 2 days to finish it, but it doesn't freeze anymore.

    Cheers. They came out today like you said about a week.

    Stuck in a new card and a new decoder about 1/4 the size of the old one ! Happy Days !
