I've been to Fury Fest (Le Mans in France) twice and whilst I've had a great time, it's been the craic with my mates and the trip away that made it rather than the festival itself.

The organisation was non-existant, people having to queue for hours in the baking sun to get in on day one and meanwhile, the bands had started (to what crowd I'm not sure, there were thousands of us outside).

The biggest selling point is the line-up they had, so many quality bands. It's the only thing that'll convince me to endure another year of it.

Hurricane Festival - North Germany. Total cost was about €400, including €70 spent on clothing, and the total cost of all food, booze, etc.

Here's what I thought at the time: http://blogs.boards.ie/civiliantarget/2005/06/18/bestweekendever/
