$66,000 in the Prize Pool already, and thats without anybody rebuying, so even at worst 800 rebuys and 400 add-ons, that would mean an extra $65,000 - exceeding the $100,000 guaranteed barrier and making it an $130,000 guaranteed tournament.

It will definetly exceed the prize pool tonight

The top 27 only getting paid which makes the tournament a farce.

Allowing for all that, i'm still in it and best of luck to all boards.ie players participating in it.

Got up to 45k early on.. then lost two 50/50's to drop to 20k...

Then the button raised my BB to 4k for the 3rd time in 4 orbits.. so i pushed 18k all-in with T8... he called after a long think with AJ.. doh!

I felt it was a bit of a crap shoot as there were no enough chips in play to sustain the blind levels.

Blinds far to big and game to slow at start.

just went out 88, ran into pocket aces and didnt improve.

The blinds were big, so you had to push with marginal hands. Very disappoint with the software problems, but this seems to be related to the 1000 players +.

Yea but top 27 get paid for a 253 player tourney and the same for over 1000 players. Its laughable, if they where running the world series it would be the same

It means the first place finisher can get a decent amount of the prizepool. In the WSOP main event this was about 15%, I think. He had won ~$58 million worth of tournament chips and had to give back $49 million or so as consolation prizes.

If you win, or even make the final table in, twice as many tournaments as the average player then you want the tourney to only pay the top 27. If you frequently go out of the tourney having made a small profit and feel delighted with yourself, you should prefer the tourney to pay 100 players. There are many many more of the second type of player than the first type, but the second type lose money overall, and the first type win money.
