    Hi,
I'm looking for any type of head unit with an AUX IN connection. Preferably an old tape head unit as this would be less likely to interest a potential thief. Even if it doesn't play tapes/cd's or doesn't tune into the radio, as long as it can give me a direct connection from my Portable MP3 Player to my car speakers I'll be happy. Does anyone know of any for sale anywhere or even if anyone has one lying around they don't need.

    Can collect in Dublin/Wicklow region:)

just buy an FM transmittor for €35. what part of the country are you in?

Oh forgot to mention, I don't want an FM transmittor or a tape adaptor as I want a direct connection and these are nowhere near as good as having it connect to AUX IN. I'm also not willing to spend a lot of money on it. I probably would have bough the LIDL one for €80 2 weeks ago but didn't get my hands on one in time. I'd prefer an old tape head unit too as my car would be less likely to be broken into then.

The aldi ones are shít tho, you cant control it via the MP3 player, it has to be done on the radio and the way you select the files is very alkward, plus it only recognises a max of 2000 songs even if you have 7000 on the MP3 player.

But surely if you connect it to AUX In this dismisses that problem as your then just using the head unit as a bridge between your MP3 player and Speakers. Somebody else recommended I just use an AMP, what would I need though?
