I don't know how much of this is true, found it on Digg.com. The site (Kotaku.com) are claiming their reports are usually accurate. (The report on xbox 360 back in February were very accurate. The y have a link to that one at the bottom.)

Apparantly: An insider tells Kotaku.com how much trouble the cell processor will be for developers.
"Sony miscalculated the added complexity of the cell infrastructure and its adverse effects on development. It's like a 350hp engine stuck in a car with faulty screws, It'll rip the car apart.

Could be just a case of them trying really hard to find a story and padding it out with BS. They are supposed to be a well respected site.

dunno how worthy a conversation on MSN is without concrete proof. certainly worrying. though, with CES in 4 days, all will be revealed. they wont release a console that simply wont run games.

devs have gotten UE3, havok and some other engine packaged with it, so they should be well versed in how to code for it (not taking full advantage obviously). if there were big problems like that i'm sure hideo kojima wouldn't have stood on a stage at TGS and showed us how they did the MGS4 vid

Kotaku tends to post anything that lands in their inbox that doesn't contradict itself. Elsewhere you have named individuals who undoubtedly would have seen some PS3 games by now (Tommy Tallarico, being the latest example), saying that the games they've seen are shaping up better than X360's first games did (graphically, if nothing else).

didn't want to post a new thread...

some news about ps3... first being that there are reports that CES will be a no-go for playstation3 and sony, despite them saying they would say something back at E3... though the report is on some random tech site with a quote from an unnamed sony rep.

other news on a slightly more official level... sony's conference will be tomorrow night, before CES (same thing they did at e3).
